Each Christmas we like to make a donation to a charity we love, in place of sending Christmas cards out.
This year we had the most wonderful opportunity to support a member of our team who has taken on an awesome challenge this year and to make a donation to a charity who do such important work.
Alex joined our team in October this year, jumping straight in at the deep end helping us to box and pack orders and keep the workshop running and straight. Imagine our surprise on the first day when he arrived slightly out of breath having run the 5.8 miles from home to work - and imagine our continued surprise when he repeated this not just once but almost EVERY DAY!!
You see Alex had set himself a challenge to run 2,020 km in 2020 and he saw the journey to and from work as a perfect opportunity to bank some miles, and a warm up for the heavy concrete lifting work in the Green&Blue workshop!
It's therefore an honour for Green&Blue to make a donation to Alex's cause in place of Christmas cards this year. Alex's challenge was in support of Mind and the work that they do in support of mental health, and with 2020 being such a year of uncertainty we know that more people than ever will be in need of support.
We'd like to take this opportunity to say a massive congratulations to Alex on completing his challenge. If you would like to read more about 2,020 kms in 2020 or make your own donation you can find Alex on Just Giving right here.
We'd also like to say a very Happy Christmas to you all, from all of us here at Green&Blue. Thank you all for your support this year, we can't wait to come back refreshed in 2021 and ready to create even more nesting and resting places for our wildlife species. HAPPY CHRISTMAS.
