Job description
We are looking for someone to join our making team, producing a range of concrete products designed to create habitat for wildlife species. We are looking for someone on a flexible contract to provide cover during busy times, and during absences by other members of the making team. Hours/days to be discussed and agreed but with an immediate start.
Key responsibilities of the role will include mixing and pouring concrete, de-moulding concrete habitat products, achieving quality finishing on products, maintaining the workshop area and tools and assisting in other duties which may arise within the workshop. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for nature and a desire to protect and improve the natural world.
The making role is a very physically demanding role where you will be on your feet all day and involved in lifting and moving heavy products. A good level of overall fitness is necessary.
You will be a quick learner with attention to detail, flexible and willing to pitch in, motivated and able to work alone to manage priorities but also happy being part of a small team. Experience of working with concrete or in a manufacturing environment is desirable, and a sense of humour is handy alongside a creative approach to problem solving.
Part-time hours: flexible hours to be agreed.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £10.00 per hour
